SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) - Lung cancer is one of the most lethal cancers in the United States, responsible for one in four cancer deaths. Despite the availability of life-saving early detection through screening, a new study finds fewer than 20% of eligible patients are getting the test they need. While many people are familiar with screenings like mammograms for breast cancer and colonoscopies for colorectal cancer, lung cancer screening is less widely known.

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) - Air quality in the Bay Area will get a little worse this week. Those with high risk respiratory issues may want to take precautions. California is back in a high pressure pattern. "We are going to see high pressure building in over central California and the Bay Area over the next few days," said National Weather Service meteorologist Roger Goss.

Musk shut down the office on Friday following mass layoffs and resignations.
